What we got up to over the School Hols.

We had a awesome 2 week holiday! We first spent time at the Palm Island group.
Lots of amazing coral and colourful fish....I did get stung by little jelly fish on one snorkel, but the trusty vinegar fixed me up. Time to buy some stinger suits!
Indi and me in our hideout.

Indi and I found a shelter (from the crocs!)

Dad caught this Mackeral on the trawling line on the way back from Orpheus Island.
Dad climbed a palm tree ( while mum was cracking up laughing), and knocked down a bunch of coconuts. We then set up a play shop, Mum and dad were cracking open the nuts, Indi collected the milk and was the waiter yelling "order up" and my job was to cut out the coconut meat.

Mud crab with wild cherry tomato salad, Indi and I prefer steak!

The scarecrows of Magnetic Isle! You'll find them everywhere at the moment, the community
make funny scarecrows for their front yards
as part of the Festival. Mum just thought the
people of Maggie just loved a scarecrow, then we found out it was a competition.

* 2nd week *
Granddad, Nece and the Tapsall's
visit us.
We took the Tapsall's on a hike up to the old Fort ruins left over from world War 2.
Can you see Indi being carried?

Look out tower at the top.

Me and Savannah praying on the remains of the giant guns that were up here.

Belle, yep, Granddad's in his DT's again!

Picnic at Balding Bay with all our visitors.

We did heaps of rock climbing everyday...

and lots of swimming.

The Rock Wallaby's lair

We fed the Rock Wallabies

This Wallaby looks a lot like.....wait a minute!!!

On Sunday there was a sandcastle competition over at Horse Shoe Bay. This is Savannah's and Steve's entry, a very awesome mermaid, fish and a turtle.

Mum and Indi's Sponge Bob.

Jack and my sand car...

We won the kids team entry - we rock! This is
us in the local newsletter.

Jack and Savannah gave Indi and I presents before they left, I got this towel skirt
and Indi got this cute turtle that hatched
from an egg in water.

When the turtle hatched Indi yelled out "I'm a father!"

We've been taking good care of our baby turtle.

We had so much fun until it was time to say goodbye.

Goodbye, until Christmas. Thanks for visiting us Granddad, Nece, Mia, Steve, Jack and
Savannah!
Until next time! Love Syd xoxo
